October 30, 1958 - November 13, 2003
Karen Lynne Karp, 45, of Carola Lane, New Fairfield, died on Thursday, November 13th in the presence of her family and friends, at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Richmond Hill, NY, daughter of William H. and Joan A. (Peterson) Karp of Sherman.
Karen worked as a waitress for New Fairfield Lunchonette for 12 years. She enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hiking.
Besides her parents she is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Lauren Karp of New Fairfield; a brother, Robert W. Karp of Colorado; and longtime companion, Peter Fairchild. She is also survived by a grandfather, Raymond Strall of Sherman; an aunt and uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Karp of Danbury; three cousins, Kenneth, John and Tracy; as well as special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Lester Fairchild. Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, November 16th at 1:00pm with Reverend Paul Beavers officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, November 15th between the hours of 5 and 8pm, at the funeral home. Donations Information
