Donald O. Barton

Donald O. Barton, age 86, of Danbury died on Thursday, June 16, 2005. He was the beloved husband of Mary Turosky Barton for sixty-three years.
Mr. Barton was born in Danbury on December 12, 1918, the son of the late Walter and Eva (Joyce) Barton.
A Danbury resident his entire life, he graduated from Danbury High School before serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed at Crown Risdon Corporation for thirty-eight years before his retirement in 1983.
Mr. Barton was an avid walker, and would be seen walking daily in the area of WestConn campus during the warm weather and the Danbury Mall in the winter months. He especially enjoyed the various construction activities at the WestConn campus and was befriended by many of the construction workers there.
Besides his wife, Mary, two devoted children: daughter, Donna Fellone and husband William of New Fairfield and son, Donald J. Barton and wife Barbara Granato of Waterbury survive him. Also surviving him are four grandchildren: Melanie Barton Sebastian and U.S. Air Force SS Sergeant Donald W. Barton, of Florida; Travis W. Fellone and Tyler W. Fellone of New Fairfield; a great grandchild, Savannah Sebastian, a brother Robert of Brookfield and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
