Andrew P. Kieras Sr.

Andrew P. Kieras, Sr. formerly of Montgomery Street, Danbury, husband of Dorothy (Oettel) Kieras, died on Sunday, August 2nd at his home in Lake Worth, Florida. He was born in Danbury on August 1, 1914, son of the late Stanislaus and Agnes (Filanowski) Kieras.
Mr. Kieras worked as a tool maker for Bullard Co in Bridgeport. He had also worked as a hatter for Lee's Hat Co in Danbury. He was a past parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury.
He will be sadly missed by his three sons, Andrew P. Kieras, Jr., and his wife, Beverly of Newtown, John Kieras and his wife, Nina of Clanton, Al, and Joseph Kieras of Danbury; his four daughters, Mary Anne Hall and her husband, Jack of Oxford, Kathy Townsend of Winston Salem, NC, Susan Katz and her husband, Neil of Syracuse, NY and Jupiter, FL, and Dorothy Grob and her husband, Stephen of Stonington and Jupiter, Fl and his daughter-in-law, Dolores Kieras of Huntington. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy (Harty) Kieras; his son, James Kieras; and six siblings. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 10th at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm. Donations Information
