William H. Knox
March 25, 1944 - August 16, 2009
William H. Knox, of New Fairfield, devoted husband of Kathleen (Begley) Knox, died suddenly on Sunday, August 16th, at the age of 65. He was born in Bronx, NY on March 25, 1944, son of the late John and Marie (Sullivan) Knox. He was a graduate of Fordham Prep, Fordham University, and Iona College.
William worked for many years for the NYC Board of Education and most recently retired from AT&T in White Plains. He was enjoying his retirement by fishing in Candlewood Lake, and preparing special meals and baked goods for his family.
In addition to his beloved wife of 42 years, Kathleen, he will be sadly missed by his two sons, William Knox and his wife, Mary of Bridgewater, and Geoffrey Knox of Candlewood Knolls; his grandson, John Patrick Knox; his sister, Marie Knox of New Fairfield; his two brothers, Grannell Knox and his wife, Irene and their son, Grannell, Jr. of Mamaroneck, NY, John Knox and his wife, Beverly of Cape Cod, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Anne C. Knox. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 19th at 10:30am at St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
