Aina Kucey
November 30, 1929 - March 29, 2009
Aina (Laucis) Kucey, age 88, of Old Woods Road, Brookfield, wife of the late Stephen Kucey, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 29th. She was born in Valka, Latvia, on November 30, 1920, daughter of the late Theodors and Ida Laucis.
She escaped from Latvia to Germany in 1942, and made her home in the United States in 1949. She and her husband, Stephen, shared 35 years of marriage. Aina worked as a sewing machine operator for various mills and as a part-time employee of WLVT Channel 39. She enjoyed gardening and was especially fond of roses.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Ina Kroc and her husband, Gary, with whom Aina made her home in Brookfield since 2001.She is also survived by her son, Michael Kucey and his wife, Sandra of Coopersburg, PA and her granddaughter, Avery Kroc of Brookfield; and her step-granddaughter, Dana Lipson of New Holland, PA. Her two sisters, Mirdza Klavana and Tamara Sakvarnis are living in Latvia. Funeral Information
At Aina's request, there will be no formal funeral services. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. The Brookfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donations Information
