John J. Addessi, of Danbury, formerly of Newtown, husband of the late Ruth (Michels) Addessi, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, December 3rd. He was born in Danbury on January 4, 1919.
Mr. Addessi was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He owned and operated Addessi Wrecking in Danbury for more than 30 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury.
A devoted brother, he will be sadly missed by his three sisters, Angeline Perrett and Katherine Day, both of Danbury, and Rita Nickerson of Scottsdale, AZ; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Attanasio. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 9th from the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Full military honors will follow mass. Cremation and interment in St. Peter Cemetery will take place at the direction of the family. At Jack's request, there are no calling hours.
