Nicolo LaPorta
November 30, 1919 - October 18, 2005
Nicolo LaPorta, 85, of Topfield Road, Danbury, devoted husband of Anne (Pisapia) LaPorta, died at his home on Tuesday, October 18th. He was born in Danbury on November 30, 1919, son of the late Guiseppe and Michaelina (Cozza) LaPorta.
Mr. LaPorta was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy. He worked as a self-employed plumber during his younger years. He retired as a plant manager for Danbury Hospital in 1979.
Mr. LaPorta enjoyed a simple life, and was happiest spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, Anne, he is survived by his son Joe LaPorta and his wife, Joanne of Danbury; and his two grandsons, Joey and Michael LaPorta, both of Danbury. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 21st at 10:00am at St. Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, October 20th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
