Obituary of Sonia M. Larsen

Sonia M. Larsen July 09, 1929 - March 28, 2009 Sonia M. Larsen, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 28, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert Larsen. Mrs. Larsen was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 9, 1929, a daughter of the late Richard and Maria (Swenson) Rutgerson. She was a legal secretary for Sherman & Sterling Law Firm in New York for many years. After Mr. and Mrs. Larsen moved to the greater Danbury area, they became members of the First Assembly of God Church in Brookfield. Mrs. Larsen was an active member of the church who played the piano for many years. She will be remembered for the way she hosted family and friends at her home. She is survived by a daughter: Sandra Martin and her husband, Daniel and a son: Rev. David Larsen and his wife, Linda; a brother: Richard Rutgerson and his wife, Linda and a sister: Mildred Rutgerson; 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 12:00pm at the First Assembly of God Church, 133 Junction Rd., Brookfield, CT. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
