Alfonso Lopez, 84, of Mabel Avenue, Danbury, devoted husband of Virginia (Cruz) Lopez, died peacefully in his home on Friday, July 25th. He was born in Havana, Cuba on June 30, 1924, son of the late Alfonso and Juana de la Paz Hernandez Lopez.
Mr. Lopez worked as a production manager in the stamping department at Alinabal Inc. in Milford. He loved to work in his yard and took great pride in its beauty. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was lovingly know by his grandchildren as "El Tigre."
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Virginia; his cherished children, Anna Lucia of Danbury, Hugo Lopez and his wife, JoAnn of Newtown, Al Lopez and his wife, Ginger of Brookfield, and Lori Streaman and her husband, Bill of New Milford; his grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Candice, Craig, Krisztina, Zachary, Max, Trevor and Olivia. Funeral Services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield on Wednesday, July 30th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Prince of Peace Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Donations Information
