Obituary of Virginia A. Losito

Virginia A. Losito December 08, 1943 - February 12, 2007 Virginia "Ginny" A. (Saso) Losito, 63, of Tamanny Trail, Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, February 12th. She was born on December 8, 1943, daughter of the late Rosario and Martha (Abbruscato) Saso. She was a graduate of Western Connecticut State University with a Masters Degree in Education. Ginny was a dedicated Math teacher who worked for the New Fairfield School system for more than 25 years. She served as past Treasurer of the New Fairfield Teachers Union. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. She served as a Den Mother for the St. Gregory Cub Scouts Troup #9 and also served as past treasurer of the Boy Scouts. Ginny played softball in local leagues for more than 25 years. She also enjoyed golfing and "going out with the ladies." She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by her three cherished children, Christopher G. Losito, Michael G. Losito, and Elizabeth A. Losito, all of Danbury; and her adoring grandson, Brendon J. Brown of Danbury; her brother, Thomas Saso of Spring Hill, Florida; and her twin sister, Mary Kiniry of Danbury. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 11:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel, will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, February 18th between the hours of 1:00 - 3:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm.
