Robert Warren Lundquist, 61, husband of Nora Valmas Lundquist of Brookfield, CT.
passed away unexpectedly on July 31 while vacationing with his entire family in Costa Rica. Robert was born in the Bronx, NY on March 15, 1947 to Florence Flodin Lundquist and the late Warren Axel Lundquist.
Mr. Lundquist attended Brookfield and Danbury schools and graduated from WCSU in 1968. He was a veteran educator having taught in New Fairfield and Greenwich Schools and retired in 1999. Upon his retirement, he taught at Education Connection in Danbury and was currently a math tutor for Brookfield Public Schools.
Mr. Lundquist was an avid softball player and played for many area teams until 1994. He was a cancer survivor and will also be remembered as a respected competitor in card and board games and for his natural ability to make everyone around him laugh heartily. Home, family, friends and 60's music were his simple treasures.
Survivors also include his devoted sons, Warren Robert Lundquist of Torrington, CT. and Marine Sgt. Kyle Adam Lundquist of Brookfield. His loving family also includes: his brother Gary Lundquist of Las Vegas, Nevada and his sister Victoria Banning of Naples, Florida. He is also survived by one aunt, Ruth Blomquist of Naples, Florida and an uncle, Clifford Flodin of LI., NY and his wife Doris. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loyal friends. He was also predeceased by his brothers Warren and Bruce Lundquist. Funeral Information
Services will be held at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Route 133 in Brookfield on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 11. a.m. Friends may call at the Brookfield Funeral Home on 786 Federal Road from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday August 7th.
