Obituary of Alfreda Behari

Alfreda Behari March 14, 1920 - September 04, 2008 Alfreda (Silkman) Behari, of Danbury, wife of the late William Behari, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 4th. She was born in Danbury on March 14, 1920, daughter of the late Alfred and Jennie (Bates) Silkman. Mrs. Behari was a devoted homemaker who created a loving home for her family. Her loving nature extended beyond her family through her volunteer work with Danbury Children's Services. She will be sadly missed by her seven children, William Jr. and his wife, Hazel of North Carolina, Jean Heron and her husband, Daniel of Danbury, Joseph and his wife, Marie of NY, Alfred and his wife, Pebbles of Bethel, John and his wife, Maryann of Danbury, Robert and his fiancé Marge Hager of Sandy Hook, and Barbara Urban and her husband, Stanley of Newtown; her 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Carolyn Wixted, Mary Hyatt, Jane Lickert, and Ruth Williams, all of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Cappellaro. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church of Danbury on Monday, September 8th at 11:00am. Burial of cremains will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel, at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, September 7th between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm.
