I will always remember your smile and how special you made everyone feel. I remember how you used to sing to me, "Beautiful Beautiful Brown Eyes" and made me feel like I was the only little girl you ever sang that to.
I love you Uncle Ange and It makes me happy to think of you up there with Grampa. See you again someday!

Angelo Mariano was one of the most gregarious individuals I have ever known. His deep trust in his Lord allowed him to be content in whatever circumstance. He was generous beyond measure and always had time to help others. He loved his music and was always ready to 'sing unto the Lord a new song.' I will always be grateful for the year I spent in Danbury and the time we had together. I remember our last visit to his 'apartment' in Bethel. The joy never ceased. He now walks the shore of that land that is fairer than day, singing still a new song, with a smile as big as heaven.
Our love and prayers to the family, Diane and Ernie Toth

Childhood memories seem to come easier the older you get. here are a few of mine. Crewcuts in the kitchen, zoom zoom in the Pontiac, loading up manure for every ones gardens, pluckin suckers, fighting to ride shot gun in the big yellow bus Sunday mornings, oh yah, always the last one at the Memorial day picnic, that drove Mike crazy! Many more, to many to list, love you unc, you will be missed, thanks for the memories, Danny

Uncle Angelo is one of those very special individuals who walks into your life and straight into your heart. He is bigger than life and brings something so amazing once you meet him and he touches your life as only he can. We all have many memories of the times Uncle Angelo left his amazing mark on our hearts so he will never be forgotten.
What is also special is all our memories of him are related to, first of all, how he made you feel so important, and how his strength was much more than physical but it was the strength of all he gave out every time you were with him. He was tough, but not harsh or rude. He was bold, but not abrasive or offensive. He was direct, but never in your face.
He always was there for you with his strong arm outstretched to grab hold and lift you higher.
He loved family and his Lord.
We must hold dear the care and love Uncle Angelo left with each of us and try to pass his attitude on to others.
Thank the Lord for Uncle Angelo!

I cherish the times I spent with Donna as kids in your wonderful home- it was always overflowing with love and Light, laughter and music - and the candy dishes were always filled! Of all my friends dads, you were my absolute favorite and I am humbled and honored to have known you. May God bless your beautiful soul - you will live in my heart forever xoxo

Uncle Ange was great. As a kid, I remember Ange and his big moving van coming to Florida and visiting us in Clearwater in the late 50's and 60's. Ange was always happy and ready to make you feel happy and at home. Marge was my mother's sister. Cousin Frank and I are almost the exact same age. I am sad that we did not spend more time with Uncle Ange and the family in Danbury. I know Ange loved God and he has gone home. I can see him walking on the shores of Glory, visiting with friends and loved ones that have gone on. God Bless Ange and his family. Jim and Mona Toth

I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11. Pop was the perfect example of someone living this verse. No matter where I saw Pop...no matter what challenges he faced...he did it with a song in his heart and a smile on his face.

Two things,.. First of all Angelo, I apologize for my Mom (Joyce Ashburn) always calling you "Angie",.. I know it drove you nuts, but thanks for laughing about it. Second, I want to pass along a story about Angelo that I remember as a child, when he bought his brand-new crane... and the first time he used it was to volunteer his time to put the support beams and Cross in at the new First Assembly Church in Torrington. I remember being small back then and thinking I wanted to be a big strong man just like that, able to do these amazing things. As I grew older I realized just how much I really wanted to be like Angelo, but for different reasons. He was a strong Christian man who dedicated his time and resources to serve God. The mark of a truly great man... and yeah, I want to be just like him.

It is so hard to think of you not always being here, because you have always been here. My whole life, good or bad, I could always count on you being there. The memory that I reflect on often was when the sprinklers went off years ago in the South Main St. building, and Daddy was in Florida. I called you, in a panic, and, faster than a speeding bullet, you were there. Directing the firemen, moving the baby grands to a safer place, telling me to go cry in the office...the paper was there, and when they asked who was the man in charge, I can remember feeling so proud, when I said, "That's my Uncle." You came up for days, until all was settled. I was always so proud that you were mine... That was just one time you were there for me. There are so many, and that is why I love you so much. You loved me, my children, and everyone you met. If we could all be more like you! Thank you! Thank you for everything...
