John L. Martino Sr.
August 28, 1930 - February 01, 2005
John L. Martino, Sr., 74, of Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield, devoted husband of Angeline (Mazzoli) Martino, died at Danbury Hospital surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 1st . He was born in Port Chester, NY, on August 28, 1930, son of the late Antonio and Elizabeth (Losito) Martino. He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School.
Mr. Martino was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the United States Army. He was a master carpenter and building contractor, co-owning and operating Martino Brothers with his brother Philip for more than forty years. He also owned and operated Johnny's Cabinets on North Street in Danbury from 1975 until 1995.
Mr. Martino moved from Harrison, New York to Brookfield in the late 1930's. An active member of the Brookfield community, Mr. Martino was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church for more than 50 years.
