Margaret McGuire

Margaret McGuire, age 91, of Danbury died on Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Danbury Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late James "Harry" McGuire.
Mrs. McGuire was born on October 2, 1913, in Tarrytown, NY one of seven children of the late Thomas and Mary (Mulhryan) Dodd. She attended schools in Port Chester, NY was a member of the first graduating class of Port Chester High School.
While she was employed as a Supervisor for the New York Telephone Co., Mrs. McGuire lived in Stamford. Upon her retirement in 1978, she moved to Danbury. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church.
Most important in Margaret's life were her family and her God. She loved everyone she met and was loved in return.
Her survivors include 3 daughters: Maureen Sheridan, Carol Rustici and her husband Mario all of Danbury; Kathleen Simpson-Robbie and her husband Bill of New Milford; a son: Kevin J. McGuire and his wife Pat of Bethel; 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James T. McGuire, and all her brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at 9 East of Danbury Hospital for the wonderful care that they gave to us at our time of need. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 10:00 AM St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.
