Louise Mary (Capalongo) Mesko, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, wife of Oscar K. Mesko, died on Friday, March 14th at Port St. Lucie Medical Center. She was born in Danbury, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Grace (Patella) Capalongo. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1937.
Mrs. Mesko made her home in the Danbury community for most of her life. She was a past parishioner of St. Peter Church and St. Gregory the Great. She retired from Perk & Elmer where she worked as a secretary for 18 years. She also taught secretarial skills in the evenings at Warren Business Institute for many years.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Oscar K. Mesko of Florida; her sister, Jane McCall of Winston Salem, NC; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Lauf; her son, Skippy Lauf; her brother, Anthony Capalongo; and her four sisters, Concetta Peck, Josephine Lane, Margaret Holtz, and Lucy Chiarella. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, March 22nd at 9:00am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
