Jack Eugene Mix, age 69, of Long Meadow Hill Road, Brookfield, died at home, in the presence of his loved ones, on Tuesday, January 15th. He was born in Jamaica, Queens on August 6, 1938, son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Baylis) Mix.
Mr. Mix served with the United States Marines Corp during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was an entrepreneur, owning and operating the business consulting firm, Credit Union Management in Danbury for 20 years. He was a member of the Lions Club in Westchester, NY.
He will be sadly missed by his former wife, Evelyn Marino; his son, Thomas Mix and his wife, Jennifer of Brookfield; his two daughters, Virginia Mix Adatto and her husband, Kevin of Portland, OR, and Mary Ellen van Hout and her husband Lambert of Oak Hill, VA; and eight beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Jack, Julianna, Jenna, Luke, Lars, Niels, and Harper. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Siege of Windham; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held at the Brookfield Congregational Church on Saturday, January 19th at 10 am. There are no calling hours. Donations Information
