Jean E. Morlock
August 17, 1939 - September 06, 2009
Jean E. (Chelso) Morlock, age 70, of Brookfield, died at her home, on September 6th, after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Morlock.
Jean was born August 17, 1939, in Danbury, daughter of the late Eugene and Josephine (Abdella) Chelso. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, she grew up in Danbury where she attended Danbury High School. Her professional career included work at Schlumberger in Ridgefield, Kimchuk in Danbury, and the Danbury Housing Authority. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Brookfield.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Jean loved and cherished her family and friends, who will miss her gentle sense of humor and generosity. She is survived by her three children, Patricia Scozzafava and her fiancé Andre Beaudoin of New Milford, Danbury police officer, Robert Morlock, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Danbury, and Michael Morlock and his wife, Rita of Brookfield; her brother, Kenneth Chelso of Danbury; and her beloved grandchildren, Thomas and Meredith Scozzafava, Courtney and Michael Morlock.
She was predeceased by her brother, George Chelso of Brookfield.
Jean devoted her life to her family and after her kids grew up and started families of their own, she especially enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her four grandchildren. Her love for and skill with cooking continued through her entire life, as she was always quick with an offer of a home-cooked meal to anyone who happened to be visiting around mealtime. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling with her many lifelong friends. Funeral Information
