Isabel (Vibert) Benton
November 02, 1913 - January 18, 2004
Isabel Gilchrist Vibert Benton, 90, of Brookfield, wife of the late Raymond Benton, Died on Sunday, January 18th at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Hartford on November 2, 1913, daughter of the late Robert King and Marjorie Monteith Vibert, of Panama, CZ, and Unionville, CT.
Mrs. Benton was a graduate of Farmington High School, Farmington, attended Russell Sage College, Troy NY, and Waterbury CT. Hospital Nurses Training School. She has been a resident of the Danbury-Brookfield area for the past 55 years. Prior to her retirement, Isabel was Head Psychiatric Aide for over 25 years at Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown.
Mrs. Benton is survived by three children, William Benton of Norwalk, Marjorie Fiaschetti of Glendale, AZ, and Ruth Horton of Glens Falls, NY; a brother, William Vibert of Granby, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by twin sons, Richard and Raymond Benton; five brothers, Ruthven, Robert, Jr., John, Peter, and Thomas Vibert. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, Brookfield, on Thursday, January 22nd, 1:00pm. A Spring Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Brookfield. Friends may call at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Thursday between the hours 11:00am and 12:30pm. Donations Information
