Dora Lisa Muzzillo
November 13, 1916 - February 20, 2007
Dora Lisa Muzzillo, age 90, of Danbury, wife of the late Angelo Muzzillo, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Pope John Paul II Center for Health. She was born in the Bronx, NY on November 13, 1916, a daughter of the late Vincent M. and Amelia (D'Andrea) Natalizio. She worked as a salesperson at Saks Fifth Avenue, NY and was a receptionist at a travel agency.
Mrs. Muzzillo and her husband raised their family in the Bronx, NY and later in Forest Hills, NY where she was a member of the Italian Club.
Settling in Danbury 25 years ago, Mrs. Muzzillo worked as a Reading Aide at the South Street School. She enjoyed being a member of the Entertainment Committee for the Danbury Commons. She had many hobbies, among them dancing, decorating, sewing and cooking.
Most of all, Mrs. Muzzillo was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her three children, Marlene Sexton of Naples, Florida, Joseph Muzzillo of Forest Hills, NY, and James Muzzillo and his wife, Marna of Danbury; her fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Gloria Cardita of Brookfield; her in-laws, Antoinette Petrello and Jerry Muzzillo; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Jeanne Nordstrom. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 10:30 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home on Friday, February 23, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00pm. Donations Information
