Johanna Nemeth
January 22, 1915 - December 20, 2008
Johnanna Nemeth, 93, formerly of Bronx, NY, wife of the late Albert Nemeth, died on December 20th in Vero Beach, Florida. She was born in New York, NY on January 22, 1915, daughter of the late Rudolf and Juliana (Garger) Wagner.
Mrs. Nemeth was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She loved to sing and dance socially. She was a member of Brudershaft-Der-Burgenland, an Austrian social club in the Bronx.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Albert Nemeth and his wife, Carolynn of Vero Beach, FL; her daughter, Joanna Charecky and her husband, Michael of Brookfield; her four grandchildren, Michael Charecky and his wife, Heather, Christopher Nemeth, Kristen Scallon and her husband, Thomas, John Charecky and his wife, Laura; and her three great grandchildren, Michael, Johanna and Alexandra. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Wagner of PA, and her sister, Tessie Kertelits of Stamford; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27th at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday, December 26th between the hours of 3:00 - 5:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm. Donations Information
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, Brookfield.
