Victor Joseph Neuwirth II, of Brookfield, died at Bethel Health Care on Friday, July 8, 2005. He was the husband of the late Emily Hazen Baxter Neuwirth. He was born in New York City on April 17, 1908, son of the late Victor Joseph Neuwirth and Josephine (Kellner) Neuwirth.
He resided most of his life in Carmel, New York, working as an operating engineer for Schipp Construction of Mahopac, New York. He worked in Panama during WW II, putting in submarine docks on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal.
He enjoyed gardening and supplying the neighborhood with fresh vegetables.
He enjoyed helping others-he could fix almost anything.
His family was his life.
He is survived by a son Victor Joseph Neuwirth III and his wife Noelle of Maine. A daughter, Carol Neuwirth Gurski, of Brookfield. A daughter-in-law Jacqueline Currey, a granddaughter Arin Hilton, and a great-grandson, Henry Hilton, all of Maine.

A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, July 15, at 2:00 pm, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brookfield. Burial will take place in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, New York. Donations Information
