Obituary of Anne Nicola

Anne Nicola April 14, 1921 - October 19, 2008 Anne (Mushallo) Nicola, age 87, of Pumpkin Hill Rd., New Milford, wife of the late Francis Nicola, died at Norwalk Hospital on Sunday, October 19th. She was born in Lopez, PA on April 14, 1921, daughter of the late Maxim and Tekla (Pavelchak) Mushallo. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford. Mrs. Nicola worked as a chemist for Nestle Co in New Milford for 40 years, and was instrumental in developing the foods for the first astronauts. She was a devoted wife and homemaker who enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Anne is survived by her sister-in-law, several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, and many friends who added so much to her life and are grateful for her presence in theirs. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford, on Saturday, October 25th at 9:00am. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
