Marguerite E. Nier

Marguerite E. Nier, at the age of 95, was called to Heaven to join her beloved husband, Walter. She was born October 16, 1913, and was a longtime resident of Forest Hills, NY along with her father, C. Henry Smith and mother Helen Shaughnasey Smith. Marguerite enjoyed caring for her loving family as well as helping with her father's real estate business in Forest Hills, NY.
She was the beloved mother of Walter E. Nier, Jr., of Brookfield and Patricia Pfundstein of Naperville, IL.
In recent years she moved to Connecticut to be closer to her son and grandchildren.
She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Nier and son-in-law, Allan Pfundstein as well as seven grandchildren, Denise Nold and her husband, Keith, Victoria Coffey and her husband Walter, Lynn McDermott and her husband, Paul, all of New Milford, and Kevin Nier and his wife, Stephanie of Brookfield. In Naperville, IL, she is survived by her grandsons, Paul Pfundstein and his wife, Heather, Timothy Pfundstein and his wife, Jennifer and Douglas Pfundstein. She will be dearly missed by her five great grandchildren and her niece, Corinna Douglas and her family. Funeral Information
Marguerite will be memorialized at a Mass at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield in the near future. Donations Information
Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to the Building Fund of St.
Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield where, while living in Brookfield
and later in New Milford, she was a frequent participant in weekly bingo
games.
Her loving kindness and generosity will be missed everyday by her family and many friends.
