William P. Nye, 59, of Sherry Lane, New Fairfield, devoted husband of Gloria (Pappalardo) Nye, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, September 8th. He was born in Englewood, New Jersey on November 17, 1946, son of Elizabeth (Mudry) Nye of Springboro, Ohio and the late William G. Nye.
Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the United States Army. He worked as a financial analyst for Verizion for more than 33 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Danbury and loved coin collecting.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family for his ability to plan great vacations and his love of telling corny jokes.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his son, Bill Nye and his wife, Marisa of Charlotte, NC; his daughter, Catherine Nye of New Fairfield. He is also survived by his sister, Betsy Busche of Springboro, Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday evening at 7:00pm. Cremation and interment will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will recieve friends at the funeral home on Monday between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm. Donations Information
