Obituary of Eleanor Marie Olsen

Eleanor Marie Olsen May 12, 1932 - February 28, 2008 Eleanor Marie (Butt) Olsen, age 75, of Ball Pond Road, New Fairfield, devoted wife of Manfred Olsen, died peacefully at Ashlar of Newtown on Thursday, February 28th. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 12, 1932, daughter of the late Alfred and Elsie Butt. Mrs. Olsen worked as a receptionist for H.I.P Insurance Company in Bethel, and also for Bartlett Tree Company. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Danbury, and was a member of the Eastern Starr Masonic Lodge. In addition to her beloved husband, Manfred, she will be sadly missed by her two sons, Eugene Olsen and his wife, Alma of Myrtle Beach, SC, and David Olsen of Danbury; her three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Alfred Butt of Raleigh, SC; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, March 1st at 5:00pm with Pastor Allen German of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home between 3:30 and 4:30 on Saturday afternoon.
