Barbara Jane (Lawson) Orlando, age 82, of Danbury died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 1, 2005. She was the wife of Matthew Orlando.
Mrs. Orlando was born in Danbury on April 13, 1923, a daughter of the late Alfred and Missouri Amazon (Cawley) Lawson. A lifelong Danbury resident, Barbara was a member of the 1942 graduating class of Danbury High School. She had a great love for art and enjoyed painting; she used watercolors and oils as her medium and for many years had enjoyed stenciling and tole painting. She was an avid collector of antiques and had an appreciation and keen eye for beautiful things.
Besides her husband of 56 years, she is survived by two daughters: Linda Ottavio and her husband Gene and Pamela Michael and her husband Gary R. all of Danbury; a sister; Elizabeth Shepard and her husband Morton of Palm Coast, FL. She was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Lawson, Jr. Funeral Information
