Robert B. Price, age 101, of Washington Avenue, Danbury, husband of the late Elsie (Ness) Price, died peacefully at Bethel Health Care Center on Wednesday, December 10th. He was born in York, Pennsylvania, on May 15, 1907, son of the late Arthur R. and Sarah (Barshinger) Price. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College and received a B.A. in History.
Mr. Price worked as an Accountant and Regional Coordinator for York Corporation for most of his career, retiring from Strauss Frank Co in Houston, TX.
A lifelong Lutheran and faith-filled Christian, Mr. Price was active in his church community, serving as treasurer for churches in Pennsylvania and Texas. Upon moving to Danbury, he joined St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of the Church Council. He was also a member of the Danbury Senior Center.
Mr. Price was a fine gentleman who shared his love and kindness with all. He was loved for his bright smile and cheerful manner.
He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Robert B. Price II of Danbury, Perry N. Price and his wife, Heather, of Danbury; his grandson, Stephen P. Price and his wife, Juliane of Las Vegas NV; and his great granddaughter, Lily Ophelia Price. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, on Sunday, December 14th at 2:00pm. Cremation and interment in the family cemetery in York, PA will take place at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon between 1:00 and 2:00pm Donations Information
