Elizabeth "Beth" Raleigh, age 69, formerly of Brookfield and Vero Beach. FL, died peacefully at Pope John Paul II Center for Healthcare on Tuesday, April 7th. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 14, 1939, beloved daughter of Mary E. (Weisbord) Raleigh of Vero Beach, FL, and the late James J. Raleigh.
Beth worked for Pope John Paul II Center for Healthcare and the Danbury Visiting Nurse Association. She later worked as an LPN in Vero Beach, Florida.
In addition to her mother, Mary, she will be sadly missed by her three sons, William N. Hammer and his wife, Kim of New Milford, Dr. Gary Hammer and his wife, Dr. Lisa Hammer of Ann Arbor, MI, and Brian K. Hammer, Ph.D. and his wife, Tracy of Decatur, Georgia; and her seven grandchildren, Lindsey, Hillary, Ben, Max, Charlie, Maggie, and Zachary Hammer. She is also survived by her brother, Ladd Raleigh of Scarsdale, NY; and her sister, Helen Raleigh, Ph.D. of Suffern, NY.
She was predeceased by her son, James B. Hammer; and her two brothers, James and Brian Raleigh. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, on Wednesday, April 15th at 4:30pm. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00pm. Donations Information
