Obituary of Dorothy June Reams

Dorothy June Reams October 25, 1917 - May 01, 2007 Dorothy June Reams, 89, longtime resident of Glenn Hill in Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, May 1st. She was born in Ottawa, Kansas on October 25, 1917, daughter of the late Herbert C. Wiltrout and Violet Marita (Nutt) Keene. Prior to moving to Danbury, Dorothy was a lifetime resident of Ottawa, Kansas, working as a secretary for Damron Towner Funeral Home for several years. She devoted herself to raising her family, and caring for her parents and disabled brother. She was a loving caregiver to all of her loved ones. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Marita K. VanErt of Sandy Hook, and Carol Jane Vaitses and her husband, Stephen of Clinton; her grandchildren, Kara L. Mehler and her husband, Pete, Eric G. VanErt, Meagan E. Vaitses, Stephen Vaitses and his wife, Dana, Allayne Boruch and her husband, John, and Allen Vaitses and his wife, Lora; and her ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Richard L. Keene of Bel Vista, AR., and her sister, Jeanne Collier of Vanise, CA. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Gregory A. VanErt; and her two brothers, Warren Keene and Wallace V. Keene. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, May 4th at 1:00pm. Burial in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas will take place at the convenience of the family.
