Mae Rose Rizzo

Mae Rose (DiCosimo) Rizzo, age 74, of Meadowbrook Road, Brookfield, died peacefully at Pope John Paul Center for Healthcare on Tuesday. She was born in the Bronx, NY on March 18, 1933, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Speicher) DiCosimo.
Mae worked as a beautician for Jean Claude Salon in Scarsdale, NY for more than 35 years. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Brookfield.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Joseph Rizzo and his wife, Susan, with whom she made her home, and Roy Rizzo and his wife, Nancy of Shelby, NC; her two grandchildren, Stephen Rizzo and his wife, Holly, and Rebecca Rizzo; and her two great grandchildren, Ryan and Morgan Rizzo. She is also survived by her sister, Joanne Polykarpous and her husband, Thomas of Bronx, NY; her niece, Deborah Ann and nephew, Thomas.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Rosemarie Rizzo. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 17th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial in Central Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Sunday between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00pm.
