Elizabeth Ann Roche
January 11, 1922 - April 28, 2008
Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Roche, 86, of Danbury, wife of the late Capt. John "Jack" Roche of the Danbury Fire Department, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Monday, April 28th. She was born in Danbury on January 11, 1922, daughter of the late Matthew M. and Elizabeth (Birch) Lesko. She made her home on Housman Street in Danbury for more than 60 years.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her life was centered on her family. She was a lifetime parishioner of St. Peter Church and volunteered at the St. Peter School Library for many years.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Carol Fisher of Danbury, Sharon Powers and her husband, Peter of Napa, CA, and Diane Roche of Dover Plains, NY; her son, Michael Roche and his wife, Mary of Danbury; her four grandchildren, Matthew Fisher, Lynn Fonseca, Tom and Jennifer Terracino; four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Katherine, Joshua, and Taryn Rose. She is also survived by her two sisters, Patricia Linabury of Danbury, and Marion Eastman of Alhambra, CA; her sister-in-law, Jean Losee and her husband, Boyd of Danbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, George Lesko. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 2nd at 10:00am at St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, May 1st between the hours of 4:00 - 6:00pm. Donations Information
