Jean Wilson Roe
April 21, 1916 - December 25, 2004
Jean Wilson Roe of Hancock Hall in Danbury, died suddenly at the age of 88 on December 25, 2004. She was the wife of the late Alexander V. Roe, Jr. of Darien.
She was born in Mont Clair, NJ. on April 21, 1916 and was raised in New York City. She moved to Darien with her husband and sons in 1947. While living in Darien she was active at St. Paul's Church and the Noroton Yacht Club. In 1990 she moved to Heritage Village in Southbury and was active at Christ Church in Watertown.
For the past 5 years she has lived in Danbury under the care of her granddaughter Deborah Baldwin.
She loved to read mysteries, cross-stitch and embroidery. Her travels with friends and family took her to Israel twice, Ireland, Alaska, Bermuda, Nova Scotia, Maine and California.
Mrs. Roe was predeceased by her two sons, H. Norris Harris, Jr. and Robert W. Harris. She is survived by six grandchildren, Deborah Harris Baldwin and her husband, Robert of Danbury, Peter Harris and his wife, Jean Scheafer of Niantic, James Harris of Baltimore, MD., Deirdre Harris of Atlanta, GA., and Kimberly Harris Lipsett and her husband, Robert of San Jose, CA, and Robert W. Harris of San Jose, CA. She also has four great grandchildren, Samantha and Seth Norris Baldwin, Elizabeth Harris of Niantic and Poppy Harris of Atlanta GA. Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held on February 5, 2004 at a time and place to be announced. There are no calling hours. Donations Information
