Robert J. Rotundo
August 27, 1925 - January 18, 2005
Robert J. Rotundo, 79, of Beechwood Drive, Danbury, husband of Frances (Kovacs) Rotundo, died at Harborside Glen Hill on Tuesday, January 18th. He was born in Danbury on August 27, 1925, son of the late Dominic and Mary (Gillotti) Rotunda. He was a graduate of Danbury High School.
Mr. Rotundo was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Navy. He worked for Risdon for more than 30 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Danbury, the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He also sang with the Danbury Cell Mates.
In addition to his wife, Frances, he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Norie-Mae Dwyer; his two grandsons, Kevin and Kristopher Dwyer, all of Waterbury; his brother, Bernard Rotunda and his wife Joan of Bethel; his two sisters, Joan Peek of New Milford, and Roberta Caraluzzi and her husband Anthony of Newtown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife Eleanor (Hanford) Rotundo and his son, Robert E. Rotundo. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Friday, January 21st at 10:00am. with Rev. Laura Westby of the First Congregational Church of Danbury officiating. Burial in Wooster Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 20th between the hours of 4 and 7 pm. Donations Information
