Carmela (Grosso) Russo
December 20, 1911 - November 25, 2003
Carmela M. (Grosso) Russo, formerly of Woodview Drive, Brookfield, devoted wife of the late John L. Russo, died on Tuesday, November 25th at Filosa Convalescent Center, at the age of 91. She was born in the Bronx, NY., on December 20, 1911, daughter of the late John and Filomina (Perillo) Grosso. She made her home in Brookfield in 1958 when her husband was transferred for the opening of Eagle Pencil Company in Danbury.
Mrs. Russo was a loving wife and mother. She will be sadly missed by her sons, John H. Russo and his wife, Sharon, James A. Russo and his wife, Ann, all of Brookfield; three grandsons, Matthew J., Anthony J., and Daniel J. Russo; her granddaughter, Molly A. Russo; and sister, Antoinette Grosso. Besides her husband she was predeceased by brothers, James and Lewis Grosso, and a sister, Margaret Papa. Funeral Information
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield, on Saturday, December 20th at 9:00am. Entombment of cremains will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. There are no calling hours. The Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, is in charge of arrangements. Donations Information
