Nimia Gomez Sanchez, age 92, of Danbury, wife of the late Pablo Sanchez, died at Pope John Paul Center for Healthcare on Monday, July 30th. She was born in Manizales, Colombia on May 4, 1915, daughter of the late Jesus and Maria Rosa Gomez.
Nimia was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Tabernacle of Jesus Christ in Queens, NY.
She will be sadly missed by her three cherished daughters, Gladys S. Gomez, Nidia Sanchez, and Nimia Sanchez, all of Danbury; her seven grandchildren, Estela, Ruth, Lucy, Oscar, Claudia, Milena, and Marisol; her seven great grandchildren, Dilem, Carlos, Jefferson, Natalia, Sebastian, Valentina, and Brian; and one great great granddaughter, Izabella. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, August 4th at 9:00am. Burial in Wooster Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 3rd between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
