Marita Ann Saunders
June 21, 1929 - June 25, 2006
Marita Ann (Coyle) Saunders, 77, of Pickett District Road, New Milford, wife of the late William F. (Bill) Saunders, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury on Sunday, June 25th. She was born in Danbury on June 21, 1929, daughter of the late Francis and Louise (Juan) Coyle. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
Mrs. Saunders was a devoted wife and mother whose passion was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, gardening, and taking care of her home.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons, W. Noel Saunders and his wife, Janet of Fredericksburg, VA., Lawrence E. Saunders of New Milford, and Scott A. Saunders of Waterbury; her two daughters, M. Susan Keyser of Waterbury, and Amy L. Roberts and her husband Shaun of Waterbury. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Carl W. Keyser, Rebecca A. Saunders, L. Haley Saunders, Kathleen L. Saunders, Damien J. Saunders, and Brenna A. Gomes; as well as her two brothers, Francis (Buzz) and James Coyle of Harwich, MA, and her sister-in-law, Thelma J. Saunders of Danbury; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she was predeceased by her infant son, Brian Francis Saunders. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held privately.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday evening between the hours of 6 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
