Edna Sears
October 27, 1928 - December 12, 2008
Edna (Maynard) Sears, age 80, of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, December 12th. She was born in Newtown on October 27, 1928, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Howe) Maynard.
Mrs. Sears worked as an inspector for Barden Corp, retiring after more than 35 years of employment. She was a attendee of the First Assembly of God Church in Brookfield.
She was an avid collector of jewelry, silk flowers, coins and stamps. She loved shopping, animals, and watching game shows.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Linda Carmel of Bethel; her grandchildren, James Sears of Bethel, Dawn McCarthy of Woodbury, and Kristine McCarty of Brookfield; her grandson-in-law, Rick McCarty of Brookfield; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Cora Maynard of Danbury. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church in Brookfield on Wednesday, December 17th at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the First Assembly of God Church on Tuesday evening between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
