Rose Bonacci
December 22, 1906 - January 16, 2009
Rose (DeGrazia) Bonacci, age 102, of Cornell Road, Danbury, wife of the late Angelo Bonacci, died at Filosa on Friday, January 16th. She was born in Decollaturo, Italy on December 22, 1906, daughter of the late Samuel and Michelina DeGrazia.
Mrs. Bonacci was a homemaker who cherished her family. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church and was involved with the St. Joseph Church Senior Citizen Group. She was a very talented seamstress, needlework, and a self taught quilter.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Roy Bonacci and his wife, Barbara of Danbury; her daughter, Frances Gallagher of Danbury; her eight grandchildren, Paul, Luke and Judy Bonacci, Susan LeBlanc, Thomas, John, Stephen and Peter Gallagher; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Leonard DeGrazia and her sister, Fioretta Ludovici. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church on Tuesday, January 20th at 10:00am Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Monday between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00pm.
