Armando Serrano, Jr., age 31, of Waterbury, fiancé of Chantay Gibson, passed away in Southbury on Thursday, April 16th. He was born in Liberty, NY on September 6, 1977, son of Armando Serrano, Sr. of Puerto Rico, and Crystal (Edwards) Oliveria of Pennsylvania.
Armando was a beloved member of the staff at Adam Broderick Salon and Day Spa, in Ridgefield, where he worked as Chief Engineer. He was a member of the Quiet Storm Motorcycle Club in Danbury.
In addition to his parents, Armando and Crystal, and his fiancé, Chantay, he will be sadly missed by his cherished daughter, Ciana Serrano; his two stepsons, Daniel and Keyon Camacho; his brothers, Alex and Adam Ocasio, both of PA; his two sisters, Yajaria Ocasio of PA, and Michelle Serrano of Danbury. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Dito, Gabby, Alexis, Carina, Nito, Felicia, Cassie, Aly, Destiny, Adam Jr., Alive, and Areiana, who he dearly loved; as well as many extended family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 10 Aaron B. Samuels Blvd, Danbury, on Wednesday, April 22nd at 11:00am with Rev. Ivan Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday morning between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00am. The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
