Norbert D. Setzler Jr.

Norbert D. Setzler, Jr., 81, of Candlewood Knolls, New Fairfield, husband of the late Dolores H. (Daly) Setzler, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, July 7th. He was born in White Plains, NY on October 13, 1925, son of the late Norbert, Sr. and May (Platt) Setzler.
Mr. Setzler was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy. He worked as a motorcycle mechanic for Reggie Pink, Inc in White Plains for 35 years. He was a talented and meticulous mechanic who specialized in Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed boating on Candlewood Lake.
He is survived by his son, Norbert Setzler, III and his wife, Nancy of New Fairfield; his two daughters, Marsha Koch and her husband Timothy of Danbury, and Cathy Dixon of Sherman; his five grandchildren, Cindy DeSaint Phalle, Tracy D. Campbell, Paul E. Setzler, James M. Campbell and Amy Dixon. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; his sister, Jean Preston of Florida, as well as several nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Peggy (Murphy) Setzler. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 11th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, July 10th between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm. Donations Information
