Obituary of Michael A. Shannon

Michael A. Shannon May 16, 1959 - December 06, 2009 Michael A. Shannon, age 50, formerly of Danbury, husband of Ruth (Richardson) Shannon, died in Yuma, AZ on December 6th 2009 after a courageous two year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Danbury on May 16, 1959, son of the late Sgt. Kenneth Shannon and Lillian (Burth). Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as an electrical technician for various companies. He was an avid golfer. In addition to his wife, Ruth, he will be sadly missed by his sister, Anne Marie Shannon and her fiance, John, of Brookfield; his niece, Leeanne Pierce Gates and her husband, Josh; and his nephew, Kenneth Landsiedel. He was predeceased in November by his brother, Gregory J. Shannon. Funeral Information A Memorial Service will take place at a date and time to be announced in the spring.
