Ruby Sharp

Ruby Sharp, age 91, passed away December 16, 2004 in Lawrenceville, Il. She was born in Beaver Dam, KY, October 19, 1913, daughter to the Late Walter and Viola Blanchard Francis. She married Jewell C. Sharp on March 12, 1931. There were nine children. She lived in many places but spent her last 48 years in Lawrenceville.
She was a member of the American Legion, Post 48, as a Gold Mother. Most important to her was raising her children and beint together with them and her many grandchildren. She was very artistic, playing the piano, painting, crocheting, and making quilts, making sure each of her children received one.
She is survived by her, three sons, Jackie and his wife, Charlotte of Gilbert, AZ., Larry and his wife Laurette of Bethel, Len and his wife, Georgia of Demotte, IN; three daughters; Guwana and her husband Frank Fosser of Leroy, IN., Belinda and her husband Henry Shick of New Lenox, Il; her 47 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Betty and Phyllis. She was predeceased by Jewell Sharp, two sons, Richard and Keith, one daughter, Maxine Beverly, six grandsons, Len, Jr., David Sharp, Roble and Timothy Sharp, and Gary Christinson; two brothers, Leon and Ernie Francis.
