Mary Theresa Slavin, age 94, of Brookfield, died on Friday, February 9, 2007 in New Milford. She was the wife of the late Harold J. Slavin.
Mrs. Slavin was born in Tarrytown, NY on December 14, 1912, a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Chicachee) Salvani. Mary made her home in Stamford until moving to Brookfield 30 years ago. Mrs. Slavin enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was a devoted grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by her daughter: Barbara Cappiello and her husband Vincent of Brookfield; 2 sisters: Lena Rosato of Briar Cliff Manor, NY and Lucille Stottler of Bronx, NY; 3 grandchildren: Jane Leicht, Christopher Litwin, and James Litwin; 3 step grandchildren: Vincent J. Cappiello, Michele Hunter, and Dawn Marie Williams; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Sweeney. Funeral Information
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Brookfield. Burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, NY will follow. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 7:00 until 9:00 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. Donations Information
