M. Karen Smith

M. Karen (Mills) Smith, 60, of Sugar Street, Newtown, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, September 27th. She was born in Danbury on September 18, 1947, daughter of the late Samuel and Alice E. (Kornhas) Mills.
Karen was a loving mother and grandmother, who was happily awaiting the arrival of her second grandchild.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Nicole Smith and her partner, Jim Cole, of Naugatuck; her grandson, Jordan of Naugatuck; her brothers, Richard Mills (Carol) of Florida, and Robert Mills (Edna) of Danbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Mills; and her sisters, Muriel Foshay, Marilyn Dull, and Marjorie Herter. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, October 2nd at 10:00am. Burial in Wooster Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 1st between 5-8pm. Donations Information
