Obituary of Lorraine Solazzo

Lorraine Solazzo August 15, 1924 - December 20, 2006 Lorraine (Pasquerelli) Solazzo, 82,of Lakeview Drive, Danbury, wife of the late Dominick Solazzo, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, December 20th. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 15, 1924, daughter of the late Anthony and Maria (Cardone) Pasquerelli. Mrs. Solazzo was a devoted homemaker who maintained the family home for her husband and children. She loved to cook and wrote cookbooks for her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting and playing Scrabble. She was known by her loved ones as the "family historian" and she kept in contact with many relatives and friends. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Church in Danbury and was very active in the community. She served on the Lakeview Social Club at Jensen Park, and her home was always open to neighbors and friends. Mrs. Solazzo will be sadly missed by her son, Bartholomew Solazzo and his wife, Joy of Flushing, NY; her three daughters, Marie Solazzo, Ph.D. of Naugatuck, Margaret Solazzo Gonzalez and her husband Marcus of Douglasville, GA, and Catherine Bautista and her husband, Eddy of Flushing, NY.; her eleven cherished grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Raymond D'Agnes of Mount Sinai, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 22nd at 9:30 am at St. Peter Church, Danbury. Interment in St. Peter Mausoleum will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, December 21st between the hours of 3:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm.
