Ilse (Neuling) Spreckels

Ilse (Neuling) Spreckels, 96, of Mist Hill Drive, Brookfield, devoted wife of the late Diedrich Spreckels, died on Tuesday, March 23rd, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Immekad, Germany, on October 2, 1907.
Ilse retired from Gristedes Market, Scarsdale, NY., in 1958 and was a very active volunteer for the Red Cross in Yonkers. She and her husband summered in Brookfield from the time of her retirement until moving here permanently in the 1980's.
Ilse's passion was her flower garden. She was a very loving and generous person, nicknamed "Mrs. Cookie" as she loved baking for the children. She will be sadly missed by her friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her adopted family, Gretl and Walter Rogg, Christian and Marianela Rogg, Marcus, Kimberly and Tyler Rogg, George and Jessica Poodiack, all of New Milford; Helmut and Emilie Krull of California; Luise Rogg of Texas; her Goddaughter, Kirsten Shirken of California; as well as Ingeborg Seebohm, Elke Dupre, and Derek Seebohm of Georgia. She is also survived by a cousin, Hannelori Reilly of Rhode Island. Funeral Information
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 3rd at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, Brookfield, at 11:00am. Donations Information
