Dorothy M. (Gillotte) Sweet, 91, of Park Avenue, Danbury, wife of the late Bruce T. Sweet, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 11, 2007. A lifetime member of the Danbury Community, she was born on December 4, 1915, daughter of the late Anthony and Kathryn (Straiton) Gillotte. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Church
Mrs. Sweet worked as a Clerk for the Superior Court in Danbury for 15 years. She enjoyed reading and sitting on her porch. She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her family and her home.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Allyn Sweet and his wife, Ethel of Danbury; her two daughters, Patricia Barrett and her husband, Ron of Danbury, Carol Mason and her husband, Chip of Newtown; her four grandchildren, Kristi Sweet, Michael Barrett, Ian and Connor Mason. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Fancher of Danbury; several nieces and nephews; and her caregivers, Sue and Dwight Williams, and Rebecca Valladares.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amy Sweet; and her sister, Kathryn Pastorok. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 15th at 9:00am at St. Peter Church. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday morning between the hours of 8:00 and 8:30am. Donations Information
