Obituary of Sophia Rita Tallaksen

Sophia Rita (Victoria) Tallaksen October 23, 1920 - October 10, 2003 Sophia Rita (Victoria) Tallaksen, 82, of Brookfield, wife of the late Arthur I. Tallaksen, died on Friday, October 10th at Danbury Hospital. She was born in New Suffolk, Long Island, NY, on October 23, 1920, daughter of the late Edward and Mary Victoria. Mrs. Tallaksen was a dedicated homemaker, devoting her life to raising her children. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, gardening and cooking. She will be sadly missed by her son, Arthur Tallaksen and daughter, Madeline Sanger; her cherished granddaughter, Melinda Sanger, all of Brookfield. She is also survived by a brother, John Victoria; sisters, Helen Horton and Stella Sledjeski, all of New York; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be private. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
