Theresa A. Thibodeau, age 83, of Parklawn Drive, Bethel, devoted wife of Roland A. Thibodeau, died peacefully at Bethel Health Care Center on Friday, January 2nd. She was born on October 28, 1925, daughter of the late Carmelo and Lucy (Paoletto) Grasso.
Mrs. Thibodeau was a homemaker who dedicated herself to her family. Prior to moving to Danbury in 1984, she worked as a consumer advocate for LICO in Long Island.
She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church in Danbury. She enjoyed volunteering with the Daily Bread Food Pantry, the American Cancer Society, and served as past president for AARP Chapter 576. She also organized a volunteer group to assist in the opening of the YMCA in Brookfield, for which, she was named Volunteer of the Year.
In addition to Roland, her husband of 63 years, she will be sadly missed by her sons, Roland J. Thibodeau and his wife, Jean of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Thibodeau and his wife, Sharron of Miller Place, Long Island; her daughter, Lorraine Thibodeau of Woodbury; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Memorial Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday, January 17th at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00pm. Donations Information
